One of the worst things as a rabbit breeder is to find a large fault on a beautiful animal.
I have a black junior doe who is GORGEOUS in body type. She's DEEP, she's WIDE, she's got a beautiful topline and hindquarter and she has a very promising head and ear on her.
In short, I LOVE HER.
Unfortunately, as she molts I've noticed a significant number of white hairs on her ears and forehead. Since "excessive white hairs" is a fault and can lead to disqualifications, I definitely can't keep her. I also don't want to pass down a tendency towards scattered white hairs down through her offspring.
Ugh, sucks! This only happens on the beautiful animals.
